A Church that Loves the Lost

What does it truly mean to possess something so valuable that you cannot help but give it away? This sermon draws on the raw, urgent desire we feel when we want to share something precious with someone we love, and it connects that desire directly to the gospel. Rooted in 2 Corinthians 5:11, where Paul declares that knowing the fear of the Lord compels us to persuade others, we are invited to reckon with a profound truth: the gospel was never meant to stop with us. Just as it passed through generations of faithful witnesses to reach us, we are called to carry it forward. The message walks us through three grounding realities: understanding the task we have been given, living with genuine urgency, and committing to being a witness. Along the way, we encounter Isaiah's transformative vision in Isaiah 6, where a man undone by his own sinfulness hears the heart of God and volunteers to go. That same dynamic is available to us. When we truly encounter God, we hear his call to join him on mission. The fields, as Jesus declared in John 4:35, are white for harvest. The question this message leaves with us is not whether people around us need Christ. They do. The question is whether we are willing to be the ones who bring them to him.
