The Scriptures
What does it mean to hold in our hands a book that is not merely written about God, but written by God? That question sits at the heart of this rich exploration of Scripture and why it matters more than anything else we could read, study, or pursue. We walk through five foundational truths about the Bible: that it is inspired, meaning God himself is its true author, working through human writers to deliver exactly what he intended; that it is inerrant, containing truth without any mixture of error; that it carries authority over our lives, not as a collection of suggestions but as divine commands; that it is sufficient, giving us everything we need for salvation and spiritual growth; and that its central message is Christ himself, from the very first pages of Genesis to the final vision of Revelation. Younger generations are picking up the Bible in record numbers, hungry for something real and transforming. That hunger points to something deep in the human soul, a longing for the living and active word that cuts through the noise of life and speaks directly to who we are and who we were made to be. The question this raises for each of us is simple but serious: are we treating this gift as the treasure it truly is?
